Sunshine Coast Suburbs Guide: From Caloundra to Noosa

The Sunshine Coast stretches from Caloundra in the south to the Noosa hinterland in the north, with each area offering a distinct lifestyle. Caloundra is the southern gateway, with Kings Beach and a more affordable residential market. Mooloolaba and Alexandra Headland sit mid-coast and are popular with young professionals for their beach lifestyle and dining scene. Maroochydore functions as the commercial and administrative centre of the coast, with the new CBD development alongside a large shopping and services hub. Buderim, inland and elevated, offers cooler temperatures, good schools and a traditional Queensland hinterland suburb feel. Noosaville and Tewantin, around the Noosa River, are quieter and more affordable alternatives to central Noosa while still offering river and beach access.
