Noosa Guide: Hastings Street, Main Beach and the National Park

Noosa is the most celebrated destination on the Sunshine Coast, anchored by Hastings Street, a compact strip of boutique shops, restaurants and bars set back from Noosa Main Beach. The beach itself is patrolled, calm by Queensland standards (it faces northeast), and is backed by Noosa National Park, where coastal walking tracks wind through heath and headland with koalas visible in the trees above the cliffs. The national park is free to enter. The Noosa River system to the west offers kayaking, paddleboarding and dining along the waterfront in Noosaville. Parking in Noosa is tight in peak season; the Noosa transit bus service connecting the park-and-ride areas is the recommended approach in busy periods.
